Rosie & Michael’s Hope St Hotel Wedding in Liverpool
I first met Rosie & Mike when I photographed Rosie’s brothers wedding back in 2012 and after seeing her fox jumper I knew it’d be a stylish wedding! I joined a very relaxed Rosie and the girls at the hotel in the morning who were having lots of fun getting ready, I just loved the bridesmaids dresses and couldn’t wait to see Rosie’s dress and oh my, what a gorgeous dress! The sun was out and after a glamorous exit from the hotel, Rosie and the girls hailed a black cab (luckily it came with hearts and ribbons!) and after the most fun taxi ride I’ve had (without alcohol!) we arrived at Hope st. After a lovely ceremony which I was aided in photographing by my trusty assistant Yoshi who flew in from Japan especially for the occasion (thank you Yoshi) we headed out for some photos. I did make everyone know that I wouldn’t be responsible for death or injury and luckily there was none of that go on! After some drinks and entertainment from not one but 3 or 4 talented pianists it was time for the wedding breakfast which Rosie & Mike were announced in along to the Jurassic Park theme tune and highly coincidently the actor Sam Neill from the film was staying at the hotel! I did see him and my assistant Marc almost plucked up the courage to ask him to make a guest appearance but he was star struck and copped out! After the meal and some very funny and heartfelt speeches we went to the top of the hotel for a few more photos in the pouring rain, who cares about rain! Everyone enjoyed drinks in the basement bar and admired the most unusual wedding gift I’ve ever seen (look for the mice!) while the band set up and and they did a song in between and you could tell everyone was raring to party! Congratulations Rosie & Mike!
